A standard fiber laser engraves metal in black and white only. The MOPA laser in the xTool F2 Ultra controls pulse width, so it produces true colors on stainless steel and titanium with no coating at all. And at speeds up to 15,000 mm/s, it finishes in minutes what takes an hour on slower machines. The dual version adds a 40W diode laser that cuts wood, acrylic and leather — so metal engraving and cutting come together in one machine.

FAQs

Does it work on our 220V power?
Yes. It accepts 100 to 240 volts, so you plug it straight in with no converter. It arrives with a US plug, so a simple plug adapter is all you need.

What is the difference between the single and dual versions?
The single is MOPA only — for engraving metal and plastic. The dual adds a 40W diode laser that cuts wood, acrylic and leather, so it covers engraving and cutting together.

Does it really engrave metal in color?
Yes. MOPA technology controls pulse width to produce a colored oxide layer on stainless steel and titanium — true colors with no ink and no coating.

Do I need fume extraction?
The workspace is enclosed and contains fumes, and an air purifier or a vent outlet is recommended for heavy work on plastic and leather.
