FAQs

Does it run on our 220V power?
Yes. The printer accepts 100 to 240 volts, so you plug it straight into the wall with no converter and no voltage regulator.

Do I need previous experience to run it?
No. The Snapmaker U1 calibrates itself completely — bed leveling, toolhead offsets and pressure advance are all handled by the printer, and you start printing from the touchscreen or from your phone.

Which materials can I print?
PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA and PCTG right away. Adding the optional top cover opens up ABS, ASA, PC and PA, and with the hardened steel nozzle you can print carbon-fiber- and glass-fiber-reinforced materials.

Does printing in four colors waste a lot of filament?
No. Because each color stays in its own independent toolhead, the purge tower all but disappears and waste drops by up to 85% compared with systems that change color through a single nozzle.

What if the filament runs out during a long print?
The printer detects it, moves to a backup spool automatically and carries on — and it resumes the print after a power cut, too.
